  • 2 large Eggs flax eggs for vegan option
  • 1/4 cup Oil applesauce for healthier option
  • 1 cup Milk any type including plant-based
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract almond or lemon extract optional
Glaze Ingredients
  • 2 cups Powdered Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Milk adjust for consistency
  • 1/4 cup Cocoa Powder for chocolate glaze
  • 1/4 cup Maple Syrup for maple glaze

Method
 

Donut Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your donut pan with non-stick spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs, oil, milk, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Transfer the batter into a piping bag and fill the donut pan about 3/4 full.
  4. Bake for 10-12 minutes until light golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Cool in the pan for 5-10 minutes before removing to a wire rack.
  6. Prepare the glazes by mixing powdered sugar with milk to desired consistency in separate bowls.
  7. Dip the cooled donuts into the glaze and add sprinkles if desired.
  8. Allow the glaze to set for about 10-15 minutes before serving.
