Preparation Steps
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef for 6-8 minutes until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add yellow onion and red bell pepper to the skillet, stir in the taco seasoning, and cook for 4-5 minutes until veggies are tender.
- In a mixing bowl, combine biscuit mix and water; stir until smooth. Fold in sour cream and mayonnaise.
- Layer cooked beef and veggies in the greased baking dish, then pour biscuit batter over.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese and diced green chiles over the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
- Allow to cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
