  • 3 Thai Chili Peppers, chopped Adjust quantity for desired heat level.
  • 1 Onion, chopped Yellow onions work best.
  • 1 head Garlic, minced Essential for flavor.
  • 2 thumbs Ginger, grated Fresh is best; powdered ginger can be used.
  • 2 cups Water Use broth for added flavor.
  • 4 tablespoons Cooking Oil Any neutral oil will suffice.
  • Salt and Ground Black Pepper To taste.
For the Garnish
  • 3/4 cup Green Onion, cut into pieces Can substitute with chives.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by chopping the onion, garlic, ginger, and Thai chili peppers. Cut the crab in half and clean the shrimp.
  2. In a large pot, heat the cooking oil over medium heat. Add onions and sauté for 2-3 minutes until translucent. Stir in garlic, ginger, and chili peppers, cooking another minute.
  3. Add cleaned shrimp, sauté for 3-4 minutes until bright orange and opaque, then remove and set aside.
  4. In the same pot, add crab pieces and cook for 3-5 minutes, releasing aroma and soaking up flavors.
  5. Pour in water and add Knorr Chicken Cube, stirring to dissolve. Cover and boil for 5 minutes. Then add tomato paste and banana ketchup, cooking 2 more minutes.
  6. Return shrimp to the pot and add green onions. Cook for 1-2 minutes and season with salt and black pepper.
  7. Stir in beaten egg and mix with cornstarch slurry. Cook, stirring, until sauce thickens (about 2-3 minutes).
  8. Transfer to a serving bowl and serve hot, encouraging everyone to enjoy with their hands.
