Step-by-Step Instructions
- Melt 1 cup of unsalted butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly for 5 to 7 minutes until golden brown and nutty.
- Transfer the browned butter to a mixing bowl and let it cool for about 5 minutes, then whisk in 1/2 cup of brown sugar and 1/2 cup of granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add 2 large eggs one at a time, whisking until fully incorporated.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 tsp of baking soda, 1 tbsp of ground cinnamon, and 1/4 tsp of salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Scoop portions of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment, spacing them 2 inches apart, and bake for about 12 minutes.
