- Begin by thawing the frozen sweet pitted cherries in the refrigerator overnight or microwave for about 30 seconds, then mash them lightly with a fork.
- In a mixing bowl or mason jar, combine the mashed cherries with oats, plant-based milk, almond butter, ground flaxseed, maple syrup, and almond or vanilla extract. Stir gently to combine.
- Cover the bowl or seal the jar and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or ideally overnight, to allow the oats to absorb the liquid.
