  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano or fresh, adjust quantity
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper adjust based on preference
  • 1 pinch Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons Flour can substitute with cornstarch
  • 1 cup Half & Half or heavy cream for a lighter version

Step‑By‑Step Instructions
  1. Pour 2 tablespoons of olive oil into a medium skillet over medium-high heat and warm for about 1 minute until shimmering.
  2. Add 3 cloves of minced garlic to the hot oil and sauté for about 3 minutes until fragrant and lightly golden.
  3. Sprinkle in 2 tablespoons of flour, 1 teaspoon of dried oregano, 1/4 teaspoon of ground black pepper, and a pinch of salt. Whisk continuously for about 1 minute.
  4. Gradually pour in 1 cup of half & half while whisking steadily to avoid lumps. Stir for about 3 minutes until thickened.
  5. Optional: Mix an additional tablespoon of flour with milk to make a slurry, then whisk into the sauce to adjust thickness.
  6. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese if desired. Taste and adjust seasoning as necessary.
