  • 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Freshly Cracked Pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup Chives can be omitted or replaced with green onions
  • 2 cups Colby-Monterey Jack Cheese or any favorite melting cheese

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook diced bacon until crispy, about 8-10 minutes. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess grease.
  3. Steam the broccoli florets until tender but firm, about 3-5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, dried parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth.
  5. In a large bowl, fold together steamed broccoli, sauce, crumbled bacon, chopped chives, and half of the shredded cheese. Stir until evenly coated.
  6. Spoon the mixture into an 8x8-inch baking dish and spread evenly. Sprinkle remaining shredded cheese on top.
  7. Bake for 20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and golden. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
