Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet, cook chopped bacon over medium-low heat until crispy, about 7–10 minutes. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.
  3. In the same skillet with reserved bacon grease, sauté diced onion until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add chopped mushrooms; cook for 5–7 minutes until browned, then add minced garlic and cook for 1 more minute.
  5. Stir in cream of mushroom soup, bacon, milk, and Monterey Jack cheese until melted and creamy.
  6. Fold in drained green beans until well-coated in the sauce.
  7. Transfer mixture to the prepared baking dish, spreading evenly. Top with French fried onions.
  8. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes until bubbly and the onion topping is golden brown.
