Preparation
  1. Begin by making the salt bread dough according to your favorite recipe, stopping just before shaping. Allow the dough to proof in a warm area for about an hour or until doubled in size.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, finely chopped imitation crab, sliced green onions, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and granulated sugar. Mix until the filling is smooth and creamy. Transfer to a piping bag.
  3. Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C). Spray the top of each roll with water and coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Place the panko-coated rolls onto a baking sheet and lower the oven temperature to 400°F (204°C). Bake for 12 to 15 minutes.
  5. After baking, reduce the oven temperature to 350°F (177°C). Cut a shallow slit in each roll and pipe the crab mixture inside. Return to the oven for an additional 10 minutes.
  6. Brush the tops of your rolls with sweet chili sauce and sprinkle with sliced green onions before serving.
