- In a large skillet over medium heat, add your choice of ground meat and cook for about 6–8 minutes until browned. Stir in the taco seasoning and let it simmer for 2 more minutes.
- Chop 2-3 cups of fresh lettuce and place in a large salad bowl. Dice 1-2 tomatoes and finely slice half an onion. Mix these fresh ingredients together.
- Layer the salad starting with the chopped lettuce as the base, then add the cooked meat mixture on top, followed by the diced tomatoes and sliced onions.
- Before serving, generously sprinkle a bag of Doritos on top to keep them crunchy.
- Sprinkle your choice of optional toppings such as shredded cheese, sour cream, or olives over the salad, and serve immediately.
