Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9x9 or 8x8 pan with aluminum foil, greasing it to prevent sticking.
  2. Melt 10 tablespoons of unsalted butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat until golden brown, about 5-10 minutes, then let cool slightly.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the browned butter with granulated sugar, light brown sugar, cocoa powder, salt, coffee granules, and baking powder until smooth.
  4. Add 2 cold large eggs and 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract, mixing until glossy and smooth, about 1-2 minutes.
  5. Fold in all-purpose flour, chocolate chips, and chopped pecans gently until no streaks of flour remain.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes, until the top is set.
  7. Cool the brownies completely in the pan, then drizzle with caramel sauce and top with extra pecans and chocolate chips.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before slicing into 9 pieces.
