  • 4 large Eggs at room temperature
  • 1 cup Pecans toasted

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9-inch round cake pan with parchment paper and butter.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar together on medium speed for about 5 minutes until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the buttermilk. Mix until just combined.
  6. Fold in the toasted pecans that have been tossed in flour.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for approximately 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
