  2. Combine melted butter with 1 1/2 cups of quick oats, 2 1/4 cups of all-purpose flour, and 1 1/2 cups of soft brown sugar in a large mixing bowl, stirring until crumbly.
  3. Press two-thirds of the crumb mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking pan and bake at 325°F for 10 minutes.
  4. Melt 1/4 cup of butter in a saucepan, then stir in 1 cup of brown sugar and mix for 1 minute. Gradually add 1/4 cup of milk, 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract, and 2 tablespoons of flour, stirring until smooth.
