Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Dust your work surface with flour, unroll the puff pastry, and roll it out to 1/8 inch thick. Cut into four equal squares.
- Place a slice of ham in the center of each pastry square and sprinkle with grated Gruyère cheese.
- In a bowl, mix spices and sprinkle over the cheese on each pastry.
- Beat the egg with water for the egg wash and brush on the edges of the pastry squares.
- Fold one corner over the filling, seal, brush the top with egg wash, and sprinkle with flaky salt.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and puffed. Let cool on a wire rack.
