Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl, add 1 cup of peanut butter, 1 scoop of protein powder, 1/4 cup of pure maple syrup or honey, and a pinch of salt. Mix thoroughly until a cohesive dough forms.
  2. If desired, add 1/4 cup of melted chocolate chips to the mixture for added sweetness and stir to combine.
  3. Line an 8x8 inch pan with parchment paper, transfer the mixture into the pan, and press it firmly into an even layer.
  4. Refrigerate the pan for at least 30 minutes to allow the protein bars to firm up.
  5. Once set, lift the bars out using the parchment paper and cut them into desired portions.
  6. For a chocolate coating, melt 1/2 cup of chocolate chips with a teaspoon of coconut oil and dip each bar halfway into the chocolate before cooling.
