Preparation Steps

  3. In another bowl, whisk together baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  5. Fold in chopped nuts or chocolate chips if desired.
  6. Scoop the batter into the prepared muffin pan, filling each cup about 2/3 full.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the muffins to cool for a few minutes in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
