Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Frito Taco Salad
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the lean ground beef and cook for about 5–7 minutes until fully browned, breaking up large chunks.
  2. Return the drained beef to the skillet, sprinkle taco seasoning over it, and pour in ½ cup of water. Simmer for about 5 minutes.
  3. In a large serving bowl, layer chopped iceberg lettuce as the base, followed by the seasoned beef mixture.
  4. Layer diced tomatoes and shredded cheddar cheese over the beef, then sprinkle Frito corn chips on top.
  5. Drizzle your choice of salsa and Catalina dressing over the salad, and toss everything together.
  6. Top with additional Frito chips and desired toppings like jalapenos, sour cream, or sliced onions. Serve immediately.
