Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Combine warm water, sugar, and instant yeast in a bowl and let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add all-purpose flour and salt, mixing until a sticky dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for 5-6 minutes with a mixer or 8-10 minutes by hand until smooth.
  4. Coat the dough with olive oil in a bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1 to 1.5 hours.
  5. Prepare garlic oil by heating olive oil and sautéing minced garlic for 1 minute.
  6. Transfer dough to greased baking pan and stretch to fit, then let rise for another 30 to 45 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 425°F, dimple the dough, brush with garlic oil, then add toppings, and bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
  8. Cool for 5 to 10 minutes, then slice and serve warm.
