For the Sweetness & Spice
  • 1 tablespoon liquid honey maple syrup can be used for different sweetness
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes adjust to taste or omit for milder version
For Cooking
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted mayonnaise can be used as a spread

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-low heat with 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes, stirring gently for about 5 minutes.
  2. Coat one side of each slice of bread with the melted butter infused with red pepper flakes.
  3. Heat a sauté pan over medium heat and place one slice of bread butter-side down.
  4. Layer 1/4 cup of crumbled goat cheese, 1/4 cup of shredded white cheddar, and drizzle 1 tablespoon of honey over it.
  5. Top with the second slice of bread butter-side up, press down gently, and cover the pan with a lid.
  6. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, checking until the bread is golden brown and cheese is melted.
  7. Remove sandwich from pan, drizzle remaining honey, and sprinkle extra red pepper flakes if desired.
