  • 3 tablespoons Soy Sauce substitute with tamari for gluten-free
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame Oil or olive oil for milder taste
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha adjust to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Brown Sugar can be replaced with honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon Rice Vinegar apple cider vinegar is a suitable substitute
For the Stir Fry
  • 1 pound Ground Beef or ground turkey or chicken
  • 4 cups Green Cabbage shredded
  • 2 medium Carrots sliced
  • 4 scallions Green Onions sliced
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Ginger grated
  • 2 tablespoons Cooking Oil neutral oil like canola
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds optional garnish

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, sriracha, brown sugar, and rice vinegar until well combined.
  2. Shred the cabbage, slice the carrots, chop the green onions, mince the garlic, and grate the ginger.
  3. In a large skillet or wok, heat cooking oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  4. Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart and cooking until browned.
  5. Stir in minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking until fragrant.
  6. Add shredded cabbage and sliced carrots, cooking until just softened.
  7. Pour the prepared sauce over the beef and vegetable mixture; stir to coat.
  8. Sprinkle in the sliced green onions and heat for about 1 minute.
  9. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds and additional sriracha if desired.
