Method
 

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Carefully cut the King's Hawaiian rolls with four cuts per roll to create pockets for the filling.
  3. Let the rolls dry for about 2 hours if too soft.
  4. Mix the cream cheese, sweetened condensed milk, and salt until smooth. Transfer to a piping bag.
  5. Pipe the cream cheese filling into each roll generously.
  6. In a bowl, whisk together the melted butter, egg (if using), milk, garlic, salt, parsley, and paprika.
  7. Dip each filled roll into the custard mixture for about 2 seconds per side and let excess drip off.
  8. Brush leftover garlic from the custard on top of the rolls.
  9. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over each roll.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes until golden brown.
