Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon baking soda, and a pinch of salt in a medium bowl.
  3. Cream together 1 cup of softened unsalted butter, 3/4 cup granulated sugar, and 3/4 cup brown sugar in a large bowl for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add 2 large eggs one at a time and mix in 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Fold in 1 cup of caramel chips and 1/2 cup of chocolate chips.
  7. Scoop rounded dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Sprinkle each cookie with a pinch of flaky sea salt before baking.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden brown and centers are slightly soft.
