Instructions
  1. Gather all the ingredients for your Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine 2 cups of milk, 2 ounces of chopped chocolate, and 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder. Heat to medium for about 5–7 minutes, until chocolate has melted and mixture is steaming.
  3. Reduce heat to low, add 2 tablespoons of peanut butter and a splash of vanilla extract, stirring continuously until velvety for 2–3 minutes.
  4. Taste and gradually add your preferred sweetener, stirring well. Optionally, add cinnamon or chili powder for extra warmth.
  5. If using heavy cream, now add about 1/4 cup and stir over low heat for another minute.
  6. Pour into warm mugs and serve hot, optionally topping with whipped cream, mini marshmallows, or cocoa powder.
