Instructions
- Gather all the ingredients for your Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate.
- In a medium saucepan, combine 2 cups of milk, 2 ounces of chopped chocolate, and 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder. Heat to medium for about 5–7 minutes, until chocolate has melted and mixture is steaming.
- Reduce heat to low, add 2 tablespoons of peanut butter and a splash of vanilla extract, stirring continuously until velvety for 2–3 minutes.
- Taste and gradually add your preferred sweetener, stirring well. Optionally, add cinnamon or chili powder for extra warmth.
- If using heavy cream, now add about 1/4 cup and stir over low heat for another minute.
- Pour into warm mugs and serve hot, optionally topping with whipped cream, mini marshmallows, or cocoa powder.
