  • 1/4 cup All-Purpose Flour or whole wheat for healthier alternative
  • 1 cup Chicken Broth or vegetable broth for lighter version
  • 1 cup Milk any type, including non-dairy
  • 1 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese freshly grated is best

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream cheese, and green onions. Season with salt and pepper and mix until smooth.
  3. Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into triangles.
  4. Place a tablespoon of filling at the wide end of each triangle and roll it up to form a pillow shape.
  5. Seal the edges of the pillows firmly.
  6. Dip each pillow in melted butter and coat with breadcrumbs.
  7. Place the pillows on the baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Meanwhile, melt butter in a saucepan and whisk in flour to form a roux.
  9. Gradually whisk in chicken broth and milk, stirring until thickened, about 4-5 minutes.
  10. Stir in Parmesan cheese, season with salt and pepper, and serve over the baked pillows.
