Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Gather all your ingredients.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine sliced peaches, granulated sugar, water, and lemon juice. Let the mixture sit for 15 minutes.
  3. In another bowl, melt butter, then mix in flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Gradually stir in milk and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Add cinnamon and nutmeg to the batter and mix well.
  5. Grease a baking dish with butter or cooking spray. Pour the batter into the dish, then layer the peach mixture over it.
