Preparation Steps
- Begin by lining an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, ensuring it hangs over the edges for easy removal later.
- In a medium saucepan, combine sweetened condensed milk, caster sugar, dark brown sugar, liquid glucose (or corn syrup), golden syrup, and unsalted butter over low heat. Stir continuously for about 5-7 minutes until all ingredients are melted and well combined.
- Gently increase the heat to medium, stirring constantly to prevent sticking. Simmer for approximately 6-8 minutes until thickened and pulling away from the sides.
- Remove from heat and stir in the chopped white chocolate and most of the sea salt, continuing to stir until the mixture is smooth and glossy.
- Pour the warm fudge mixture into the prepared baking pan, using a spatula to smooth the top. Sprinkle the remaining sea salt over the top.
- Let the fudge cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes, then cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
- Once set, lift the fudge out of the pan using parchment paper and cut into bite-sized squares.
