  • 1 sheet Puff Pastry Thawed before use
  • 2 cups Fresh Spinach Chopped
  • 1 cup Artichokes Chopped, canned or jarred
  • 1 cup Shredded Parmesan Cheese Romano can be substituted
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese Softened to room temperature
  • 1/4 cup Mayonnaise Greek yogurt can be used
  • 1 clove Garlic Minced
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Fresh Cracked Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Red Pepper Flakes Optional
  • 1 large Egg For egg wash, mixed with water

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Thaw a puff pastry sheet according to package instructions and cut it in half.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine spinach, artichokes, parmesan, cream cheese, mayonnaise, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until creamy.
  4. Spread the filling evenly on one half of the puff pastry and place the other half on top.
  5. Cut the pastry sandwich into six long strips and twist each strip to form spirals.
  6. Prepare an egg wash by beating an egg with water and brush each swirl with it.
  7. Bake for about 25 minutes, until golden brown and puffed.
  8. Cool for a few minutes before serving.
