Cinnamon Rolls Steps
- In a stand mixer, combine warm milk, white sugar, and active dry yeast. Let sit for about 4 minutes until foamy.
- Add beaten egg, softened butter, salt, and all-purpose flour. Mix well, then gradually add more flour until a soft ball of dough forms.
- Transfer dough to a greased bowl and let it rise for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
- Meanwhile, mix brown sugar, white sugar, and ground cinnamon in a bowl for the filling.
- Roll the dough into an 18"x9" rectangle. Spread softened butter and sprinkle cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Starting from the long side, roll into a log and cut into 12 equal pieces. Place in a buttered baking dish.
- Cover with a towel and let the rolls rise for 20-30 minutes until puffed. Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Bake for 22-24 minutes until golden. Remove from oven and cool slightly.
- For the glaze, beat together cream cheese, powdered sugar, softened butter, and milk until smooth.
- Drizzle glaze over warm cinnamon rolls and serve.
