Step-by-Step Instructions for Lemon Crumb Bars
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your 9x9-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Combine all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, light brown sugar, salt, and baking powder in a mixing bowl. Stir in melted and cooled unsalted butter until crumbly.
- Press about two-thirds of the crumb mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking pan. Bake for 15 minutes until lightly golden.
- Whisk together sweetened condensed milk, egg yolks, heavy cream, and salt until smooth. Gradually add fresh lemon juice and mix well.
- After crust is baked, pour the lemon filling over it and sprinkle remaining crumb mixture on top. Bake for an additional 15-20 minutes.
- Cool at room temperature for 30 minutes, then chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours before slicing.
