  • 0.25 cup Light Brown Sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt Adjust to taste
For the Mango Layer
  • 2-3 cups Fresh Ripe Mango Chopped into small pieces
  • 2 tablespoons Granulated Sugar For mango layer
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice Or lime juice as an alternative
  • 1 tablespoon Corn Starch

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8-inch square baking pan with aluminum foil.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt about 1/2 cup of unsalted butter until fully liquid.
  3. Add flour, oats, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt to the melted butter, stirring until crumbly.
  4. Press half of the crumble mixture into the bottom of the baking pan. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
  5. Prepare the mango filling by combining chopped mango, granulated sugar, lemon juice, and corn starch.
  6. Spread the mango filling over the baked crust, then sprinkle remaining crumble mixture on top.
  7. Bake for 40-50 minutes until topping is golden and filling is bubbling.
  8. Let the bars cool thoroughly at room temperature for at least 1 hour before slicing.
