Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, combine 4 tablespoons of softened unsalted butter, 2 tablespoons of white miso paste, 1 tablespoon of brown sugar, 1 teaspoon of grated fresh ginger, and 1 minced garlic clove. Mix until creamy and well-combined.
  2. Spread the prepared miso butter evenly over the top of the salmon fillets, ensuring each is well-coated.
  3. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the coated salmon fillets in a greased baking dish and bake for 12 to 15 minutes.
  4. For air fryer method, preheat to 400°F (200°C), line the basket with parchment paper, and cook salmon fillets for 9 to 10 minutes.
  5. If using the oven, switch to broil for an additional 1 to 2 minutes after baking, watching closely to prevent burning.
  6. Transfer the cooked salmon to a platter, drizzle with any remaining miso butter, and garnish with sliced green onions.
