Ingredients

For the Ribs
  • 2 pounds Pork Ribs Choose between baby back for a leaner bite or St. Louis for a meatier flavor experience.
For the Rub
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar For a healthier pick, consider using coconut sugar or honey; honey may make the rub sticky.
  • 2 tablespoons Smoked Paprika Substitute with regular paprika and cumin if you’re out.
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic Powder Fresh garlic can add a passionate kick!
  • 1 tablespoon Onion Powder Don't skip this one!
  • 1 tablespoon Chili Powder Adjust to your spice preference.
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper Freshly ground is always best!
  • 1 tablespoon Salt A crucial component in any seasoning mix.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper Optional for those who love a little heat.
For the Glaze
  • 1 cup Barbecue Sauce Opt for a smoky-sweet variety or make your own.

Method

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C). Gather your baking sheet and aluminum foil.
  2. Remove the tough membrane from the back of the ribs. Pat the ribs dry and set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper. Stir until well-mixed.
  4. Drizzle olive oil over both sides of the ribs. Apply the spice rub generously, and let the ribs sit for 15-20 minutes.
  5. Wrap the seasoned ribs tightly in aluminum foil and place them on a baking sheet. Bake for 2.5 to 3 hours.
  6. After baking, unwrap the ribs and brush them with barbecue sauce.
  7. Broil or grill the ribs for 5–7 minutes per side until the sauce caramelizes.
  8. Let the ribs rest for a few minutes, garnish with parsley, slice, and serve.
