Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C). If using store-bought dough, let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
  2. Melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for about 1 minute.
  3. Whisk in 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour, cook for another minute, then slowly add 1 cup of whole milk and 1/2 cup of half and half, stirring until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes.
  4. Mix in 4 ounces of cream cheese and 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese until creamy.
  5. Roll out the dough into a 14-inch circle and transfer it onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. Prebake the crust in the oven for 5-7 minutes until lightly golden.
  7. Spread the creamy sauce over the crust, sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese, followed by artichokes, spinach, and grilled chicken if using.
  8. Top with remaining mozzarella cheese and bake for an additional 7-10 minutes until the cheese is bubbling and crust is golden brown.
  9. Let the pizza cool for a couple of minutes, sprinkle with shaved Parmesan, slice, and serve warm.
