Ingredients

For the Banana Bread
  • 4 medium Very Ripe Bananas Frozen bananas work too—thaw and drain excess liquid.
  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour Swap with a gluten-free blend if needed.
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar Feel free to reduce the amount since ripe bananas add sweetness.
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter Coconut oil makes a great dairy-free substitute.
  • 2 large Eggs Use flax eggs for a vegan alternative.
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda Essential for the bread to rise well.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt Enhances flavors.
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon Add more for an extra kick!
For the Crunchy Streusel Topping
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar Experiment with coconut sugar for a different flavor.
  • 1/2 cup Flour Creates the crumbly texture.
  • 1/4 cup Butter Vegan butter works wonderfully if you're keeping it dairy-free.

  • Mixing bowl
  • fork or potato masher
  • whisk or spatula

  2. Mash the very ripe bananas in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
  3. Mix in the melted butter, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Gently fold in all-purpose flour, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon until just combined.
  5. Prepare the streusel topping by combining brown sugar, flour, and cold butter until crumbly.
  6. Pour the banana bread batter into the prepared loaf pan and sprinkle the streusel topping over it.
  7. Bake for about 60 to 70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
