For Garnish
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley Chopped. Substitute with cilantro or basil if desired.

Equipment

  • Large pot
  • large skillet

Method

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Begin by bringing a large pot of salted water to a vigorous boil. Add the rotini pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Once cooked, drain the pasta and set it aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, drizzle in some olive oil, then add the sliced sausage of your choice. Sauté the sausage for about 5-7 minutes until it’s beautifully browned and caramelized.
  3. With the skillet still over medium heat, add more olive oil if necessary. Toss in the minced garlic, stirring frequently for about 1 minute until fragrant and golden.
  4. To the garlic, add the BBQ sauce, honey, paprika, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Stir together and allow the mixture to simmer for about 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  5. Return the caramelized sausage to the skillet with the drained rotini pasta. Gently toss until the pasta and sausage are evenly coated in the sauce. Cook over low heat for another 2 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat, sprinkle with chopped parsley, and serve hot.
