  • 2 cups Lettuce shredded, can use cabbage
  • 1 cup Tomatoes diced, pico de gallo adds zest
  • 0.5 cup Red Onion diced, or use green onions
  • 0.25 cup Cilantro chopped, optional
  • Optional Toppings sour cream, jalapeños, guacamole, hot sauce

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare your baking dish.
  2. Sauté diced onions and minced garlic in olive oil over medium heat for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Cook ground beef, turkey, or chicken in the skillet for 6-8 minutes. Stir in taco seasoning and tomato sauce, simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Warm taco shells in the microwave for 20-30 seconds, then fill with meat mixture and top with cheese.
  5. Arrange filled shells in the baking dish and bake for 10-15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and edges are golden.
