Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium pan, combine 1 cup of sugar, 1 cup of water, and 2-3 sliced fresh peaches. Cook over medium heat for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  2. Remove the pan from heat and let the syrup steep for 30 minutes.
  3. Strain the peach mixture through a fine-mesh strainer, collecting the syrup in a bowl or measuring cup.
  4. In a separate pot, bring 6 cups of fresh water to a boil, then steep 3 black tea bags for 5 minutes.
  5. Combine the peach syrup and brewed tea in a large pitcher, stirring gently.
  6. Chill the peach tea in the refrigerator for at least 24 hours.
  7. Serve over ice, garnished with fresh peach slices or mint.
