- In a medium pan, combine 1 cup of sugar, 1 cup of water, and 2-3 sliced fresh peaches. Cook over medium heat for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove the pan from heat and let the syrup steep for 30 minutes.
- Strain the peach mixture through a fine-mesh strainer, collecting the syrup in a bowl or measuring cup.
- In a separate pot, bring 6 cups of fresh water to a boil, then steep 3 black tea bags for 5 minutes.
- Combine the peach syrup and brewed tea in a large pitcher, stirring gently.
- Chill the peach tea in the refrigerator for at least 24 hours.
- Serve over ice, garnished with fresh peach slices or mint.
