Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey or brown sugar, sesame oil, and rice vinegar. Add minced garlic and grated ginger. Combine well and set aside.
  2. Arrange chicken thighs evenly in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  3. Pour the whisked sauce mixture over the chicken, ensuring even coverage.
  4. Secure the lid on the slow cooker and set it to low heat for 3 to 4 hours.
  5. Mix cornstarch with cold water, then stir into the slow cooker to thicken the sauce.
  6. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving.

Notes

Allow the dish to rest overnight in the fridge for enhanced flavor. If using chicken breasts, reduce cooking time to 2-3 hours on low.
