  • 12 rolls Sweet Rolls Hawaiian rolls preferred.
  • 10 slices Provolone Cheese Can use mozzarella or Swiss.
  • 14 ounces Sliced Deli Roast Beef Leftover pot roast or brisket can substitute.
For the Butter Sauce
  • ½ cup Melted Unsalted Butter Can replace with olive oil.
  • tablespoons Dried Onion Soup Mix Can substitute with homemade seasoning or ranch dressing.
For the Au Jus
  • 1 packet Au Jus Gravy Mix Can substitute with homemade beef broth.
  • 3 cups Water Stock or broth can enhance flavor.
Optional Garnish
  • Fresh Chopped Parsley For garnish.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Sauté onions: Melt butter in a skillet, add onions, and sauté for 12-15 minutes until caramelized. Add thyme, salt, and pepper, then set aside.
  2. Prepare rolls: Preheat oven to 350°F. Slice rolls in half horizontally, keep connected, and place in a baking dish.
  3. Layer ingredients: Layer half of provolone on bottom rolls, add roast beef, sautéed onions, then top with remaining provolone.
  4. Add butter sauce: Mix melted butter with onion soup mix and brush it over the assembled sliders.
  5. Bake: Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, then uncover and bake for another 5-10 minutes until golden.
  6. Prepare au jus: Follow package instructions for au jus using water in a saucepan, bringing to a simmer.
  7. Serve: Cut sliders apart, garnish with parsley, and serve hot with au jus for dipping.
