For the Stir-Fry
  • 1 lb Ground Beef substitute with ground turkey for lighter option
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce low-sodium can be used
  • 1/2 teaspoon Chili Flakes adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil can be replaced with olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Brown Sugar coconut sugar is a substitute
For the Vegetables
  • 1 cup Broccoli Florets
  • 1/2 Red Bell Pepper sliced
  • 1/2 Zucchini thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup Mushrooms sliced
For Assembly
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil for sautéing vegetables
  • 1 cup Steamed White Rice jasmine or basmati recommended

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Wash and chop all vegetables and mince the garlic.
  2. Measure out soy sauce, chili flakes, and brown sugar.
Cooking
  1. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add sesame oil.
  2. Sauté garlic for 30 seconds and add ground beef, cooking until browned.
  3. Stir in soy sauce, chili flakes, and brown sugar, simmering for a few minutes.
  4. In a separate pan, heat olive oil and sauté garlic.
  5. Add mushrooms and cook until golden brown, then add broccoli, zucchini, and bell pepper.
  6. Stir-fry until veggies are tender-crisp.
  7. Serve by layering rice, ground beef, and veggies in a bowl.
