  • 2 cups Beef Broth Substitute with vegetable broth if desired.
For the Queso
  • 1 cup Queso Dip Homemade or store-bought.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika Smoked paprika can be used for extra flavor.

  • to taste Pepper Adjust to personal taste.
For Garnishing
  • 1/4 cup Chopped Cilantro Optional but recommended.
  • 1/4 cup Sliced Jalapeños For a spicy kick.

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Start by rinsing the white rice under cold water until the water runs clear. In a medium saucepan, combine the rinsed rice with beef broth. Bring to a boil, cover, and reduce to low heat for 15-20 minutes until the rice is tender.
  2. Cut the sirloin steak into bite-sized pieces and coat with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  4. Add seasoned steak to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until browned and cooked to your preference.
  5. Lower the heat and add queso dip to the skillet. Stir until melted and well combined.
  6. Fluff the cooked rice gently with a fork, then add it to the queso and steak mixture. Stir to coat the rice.
  7. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed to ensure full flavor.
  8. Plate the Steak Queso Rice, and garnish with cilantro and jalapeños. Serve hot.
