  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 large Egg Yolk
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread the walnuts evenly on a baking sheet and toast them for 8–10 minutes.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Add one egg, the egg yolk, and vanilla extract to the creamed mixture. Beat until fully combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped walnuts until evenly distributed.
  6. Portion out the cookie dough onto a lined baking sheet and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) again and prepare additional baking sheets for baking.
  8. Bake the cookies for 11–13 minutes. The edges should be golden while the centers are slightly underbaked.
  9. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
